HOW WE HELP
We offer three distinct levels of service.
FINANCIAL PLANNING
Designed to assist you with all facets of your financial life, a McDonald Presley Financial Plan is a written document that results in a series of clearly stated action steps that may include detailed investment advice and specific recommendations. Implementation of the suggested course of action is at your discretion. Your McDonald Presley Financial Plan is a finite engagement and does not include ongoing investment advisory services.
Our fee for financial planning engagements is determined by the complexity of your situation and the level of professional expertise required, and will be agreed to through an engagement letter prior to the beginning of the financial planning process.
HOURLY CONSULTATION
Should you need professional, objective advice about a particular financial matter, we offer you an hourly engagement limited to the financial topics you specify. We’ll estimate the amount of time and level of expertise required to complete your work and provide you with an engagement letter specifying an agreed to fee range before we begin.
ONGOING SERVICE
You may be looking for a continuous relationship that relieves you of the anxiety inherent in a fluctuating economy and constantly changing markets. That’s why we are here. McDonald Presley will provide you with ongoing investment management in addition to the initial planning work we undertake with all new relationships. Through our Financial Services - Retainer Agreement, we provide you with our highest level of personalized service.
Hiring McDonald Presley through a Retainer Engagement will relieve you of much of the stress and worry of managing your financial affairs. We’ll do whatever you need us to do to make your life easier and better. Our help could include continuous management of your accumulated wealth, planning for and preparing your annual income tax returns, helping you put in place the appropriate estate planning documents with your attorney, advising you on gifting and transfer of wealth issues, and organizing your financial life in an efficient manner to make the most of what you have.
Fees for ongoing service are typically a flat annual amount based on your circumstances and the level of expertise required rather than a percentage of the assets we manage. We believe flat fees avoid any and all conflicts of interest and allow us to be completely objective as our compensation doesn’t change regardless of the advice we provide.

Keith McDonald, MS, CFP®
Keith A. McDonald is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and President of McDonald Presley Capital Management, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, a Master of Science degree from the College for Financial Planning, and obtained his CFP® designation in 1986.
From 1991 until the establishment of McDonald Presley in 2002, Keith was the President of McDonald Capital Management, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Prior to that he was the Manager of Personal Financial Planning for a regional Certified Public Accounting firm in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, Indiana and has served as a national board member for the Institute of Certified Financial Planners in Denver, Colorado.
